I did the safe thing. I studied. I got a job. I worked hard. Dated a wonderful guy. Got married. Then....at 30, I found myself at a crossroads. Continue down the safe path of financial stability and a job I don't completely hate. Or the path less taken that would feed that restless part of me?
I discovered my love for food and travel early. My job as a commercial pilot gave me the chance to explore and nurture that love. Everything was FINE! But I started wanting more. More out of myself. More time to nourish that sidelined love for food and discovering the magic of creating something new with my hands.
2018 was the year! I took a hard look at my life, got my wonderful husband on board & applied to Culinary school. It was nerve wracking, applying for an undergrad course at 30! I got in, and now I had to start thinking about how I was going to leave my family, husband, friends and life and move halfway around the world to start from scratch! As a Freshmen, to boot!
